One of the things that makes being a baseball fan so much fun is talking about the game. Anyone who enjoys this pastime knows it always helps to have a few good stats up your sleeve. So with a new baseball season upon us, I took the liberty of compiling a few numbers which should help predict how the Red Sox will fare this season. Let’s talk baseball!

’09 Rewind

  • Runs scored: 872, runs allowed: 736
  • Record when leading after seven innings: 79-4 (.952), when trailing after seven innings: 7-55 (.113)
  • Record when scoring less than four runs: 13-44 (.228)
  • Record in one run games: 22-17 (.564)
  • Record after trading for Martinez: 35-25 (.583)
  • 41 comeback wins, 36 blown leads
