2010 Red Sox Schedule

The Red Sox will open the 2010 season at home on Monday, April 5 versus the Yankees. It's the second straight year they have opened the season in Boston, after previously not having done so since 2002.

The Red Sox's first road trip in 2010 will take them to Kansas City and then Minnesota, where they will be the inaugural opponent at the Twins' new ballpark, Target Field, on April 12.

The Rays will be Boston's opponent on Patriot's Day. The annual 11:05 a.m. game takes place on April 19.

The Red Sox and Yankees will play six series, four of them on a weekend, and the two rivals open and close the season in Boston. The Yankees come to Fenway Park on April 5, 7-8, May 7-9, and October 1-3. The Sox play at Yankee Stadium May 17-18, August 6-9, and September 24-26.

Interleague play will see the Red Sox taking on teams from the NL West, with the Philadelphia Phillies considered their natural rival. The Red Sox will host the Phillies, Diamondbacks and Dodgers, which could mean a return of Manny Ramirez to Fenway. Boston travels to Philadelphia, Colorado and San Francisco.
